Portraits

Portraits are some of the most rewarding and challenging things to paint. How do you capture the essence of someone on a canvas? It is one thing to get the shape of the nose, the set of the eyes, and the right posture. It is another thing entirely to capture the soul, the indefinable spirit of someone. This is the challenge and reason why I've won awards for portraiture.
