Landscapes

In many ways, the word "landscape" is such a boring name for something that has infinite variety and potential. As a landscape artist, my lifelong aim has been to capture the beauty, variety, and subtle art of nature and translate it to the canvas with all the life, potential, and vibrancy of the original.

As you look through these landscapes, pay attention to how the unseen breeze blows through branches, subtly sculpting the trees. Watch as water breaks over rocks, slowly breaking them down over eons. Take in the fall colors as branches give off one final defiant pulse of color before going dormant for the winter. The pastels in these paintings add a luscious and velvety texture to bring out the dimension of the landscapes.

Landscapes are a joy paint and a pleasure to contemplate, as you'll see below.
